sku: KIT-09484
Description: This kit includes everything you need to build your very own, fully functional, digital oscilloscope. Once you've got it up and running, the oscilloscope features up to 5M samples/second, 8-bit resolution, up to 50Vpp max input voltage, and more!
This kit includes a semi-populated PCB, with all of the surface mount components already soldered on for you. The components left for you to solder are all through-hole. This is on the higher end of difficulty as far as through-hole kits go.
This kit pairs nicely with our BNC Probe Kit! A 9V power supply is required to run the oscilloscope; supply is not included.

I built the oscilloscope without any issues, I mainly used the instructions at http://simlife.blogspot.com/2010/06/diy-oscilloscope.html.
I have just updated the firmware using a USBTinyISP (watch out for the non-standard programming header on the 'scope) and avrdude and have got the spectrum analyser feature working.
A few hours (and dollars) well spent :)

Well, what a great little project. Very easy to complete and a great tool to have lying around the house. Without a doubt, it is the best project I've ever made due to it's versatility.

A great afternoons worth of kit. Putting it together yourself and seeing it working is fantastic. Some soldering skills are required & check out the link from John Boxall....it really helps!

This is one of those kits that screams at you "buy me buy me!"... and then you scream at it when assembling it. But at the end of the day very much worth it, however I'm glad to have bought the version with SMD already done. I have documented the assembly at http://bit.ly/abw9Yf
